Christmas Deer

Hello! I'm so sorry I haven't been back to visit you sooner, but running back and forth to the hospital and having birthday parties, and trying to do last minute touches on the decorating has just thrown me for a loop! I just hope you all are not as rushed and as busy as I seem to be these days! This was a fairly simple card to do. I just combined dry embossing with some wet embossing, added some glitter and a bow and whala! My son will be here from Missouri on Tues. and the clock's ticking. I will be starting my baking tomorrow, and I need to wrap presents, and make out a menu for Christmas dinner, and...... I guess what I'm trying to say is for everyone to have a very "Merry Christmas!" if I don't get to talk to you before then. Hope you enjoy the card and thanks for looking!
Supplies- Stampin' Up: Embossing folder "Northern Flurries" and wet embossed deer from "Christmas Deer" stamp.

Blessings

Hello everyone! I'm back with another card. This one was inspired by my Christmas' long ago when I lived in a part of the country where it snowed! I have decided it is not happening here this winter since this is December and it is almost 80 degrees outside. Anyway, I got out one of my Sizzix dies and some leftovers from a previous card and came up with this. I hope you all are warm and cozy and ready for Christmas. We are getting there slowly... the tree is in the middle of the dining room floor, and hubby is trying to find that one special bulb on the lights that is preventing the whole strand from working! Tomorrow I will go out to the shed and find another strand of lights to use because you know he is never going to find it,LOL! Happy HO, HO! Thanks for peeking!
Supplies- Sentiments: Stampin' Up " More Merry Messages" and " Christmas Blessings", Tree branch: Give a Hoot, Pine needles and pine cones: Tim Holtz " Tattered Pine Cone" Sizzix die

Hello all! Just a quick post today to share this quick card. My Father is back in the hospital again, and I have been running from daylight to dark! I stamped the wreath, fussy cut it, blinged it up and popped it on the page. I used two different stamp sets this time, both from CTMH.I used some glitter ribbon from my stash and a Martha Stewart "Punch Around the Page" for the inside. Thanks for looking and thank you for all your precious comments! You don't know how much they are appreciated.

Happy December!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone has had a chance to rest up a bit after Thanksgiving. Now that December is here, for me it will be a mad rush to get all the cards made and mailed, put up the decorations, host a birthday party, and cook, cook, cook! Whew! I made myself tired just thinking about it! Oh well, I have been busy making Christmas cards this past week so I got a small head start on it all. I always wait till the first of December to put up my decorations. I guess I just try to preserve and cherish Fall for as long as possible. This card was inspired by trimming the tree! I used some beatiful papers from CTMH with some glitter, micro beads, and demensional elements to make the ornaments. The sentiments and the bling on the inside came from the same Workshop on the Go as the papers. I hope you all have a calm and peaceful week, and thanks for looking!

Thanksgiving

Good morning! I'm here to share my last card before Thanksgiving. This one was done with the Stamp of the Month for September from Close to My Heart. I used my water color pencils to color him in then fussy cut him out. I think he is so cute! I popped him up and added some raffia behind him and as a bow to give him the feel of being in the "leftover garden" after Harvest. I hope you like him, and that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. I am so very Thankful for all of you! Happy Thanksgiving!

Raking the Leaves?!

Hello everyone! I'm back with another Fall card for you. No pumpkins this time! Remember when you were young and Mom or Dad sent you outside to rake leaves? I know I always did alot less raking and alot more playing, hiding, jumping into the leaves than was probably allowed! That is what inspired this card. That and something I saw on Pinterest. Here in Alabama we are still in the Fall season. The leaves are just starting to turn color and fall. Some are still green and growing! I know some of you have already had your first snowfall, and if you know me than you know how I miss the snow. That's another season that I really love. I guess because I grew up in it for part of my childhood and have many fond memories of sleding, ice skating, snowman making, etc. I would most likly dread it now that I am an adult and would have to deal with the other aspects of winter in the North! Anyhoo, I hope you are not too busy getting ready for Thankgiving to enjoy the Fall while it lasts! I'll be back tomorrow to share one last Autunm/Fall/Thanksgiving card with you. Thanks for looking!

One last Pumpkin!

Hey Ya'll! This is the very last pumpkin card in the series, I promise! This is another new stamp that I had never used. I did some masking and made the small pumpkin on the tag a different color than the background then cut it out. I wanted just a little more dimension so I cut another pumpkin for the large one and glued it on top. I added some burlap for the rustic feel then decided it needed a bit of bling, so I added the tulle bow and topped it with the circle sentiment from my stash. I think it turned out pretty good considering that I really didn't have any idea what I was going to do with it when I started! Thanks for taking a peek!
Supplies- Tag stamp: Close To My Heart "Backdrop-Charmed", Large pumpkin: Sizzix "Pumpkin Spice" die, Burlap: Canvas Corp, Circle sentiment: Recollections, Inside sentiment: Inkadinkadoo "Harvest Expressions"

Pumpkins!

Hello! Back with two more cards, and this one has pumpkins too! Can you tell I like pumpkins? This is a stamp that I bought last year and forgot that I had. I used some watercolor pencils to color it in and made a tiny little pumpkin with a button and some memory thread I left the inside blank( I'm sure I was already thinking about the next one). I had fun playing with my "colors" on this one, and I hope you enjoy it.
This one was done in a flash! The embossed image was given to me by a friend last year and was in my stash. I made a quick card to match the pumpkins, tied on a bow, stamped the sentiment and glued it all down. Simple Simon! I'm working on Christmas cards now, so you should see some of those after Thanksgiving. Thanks for looking!

Harvest

Hello everyone! I thought I would share this quick card with you today. It seems that I went so long without creating that once the plug was pulled I haven't been able to stop,LOL! I have so many new stamps that I haven't used, I'm trying to play "catch up". This is one of those stamps. The label was cut with a die I purchased from S.U. awhile back and is the same color as the mat on the inside.I don't know what went wrong with the camera there! Probably the "operator"! The bow is some vintage seam binding , and the stickpin I made myself with a cute little button I had in my stash. Easy-peasy, once I flipped the label and re-stamped the pumpkin in the background since I smeared it the first go-round. Then I had to cut another card because I layed the first one in my ink! I'm tellin' you, It just doesn't do for me to have to many items laying on my table at the same time! I try to clean up as I go, but on this day I had 3 or 4 cards layed out with everything I needed to make each one come together! Ideas in the making! Are you a cluttered crafter or a "put it away as you go" crafter like me? I'll be back in a couple of days with another card for you. Thanks for looking and listening to me ramble!
Supplies- Pumpkins: Close to My Heart stamp "So Grateful", Label: Stampin' Up Framelit "Labels", Inside border stamp: Recollections, Inside sentiment: CTMH rub-on "Mischeif"

Get Well

Hey Ya'll! Quick post as I am off to see my Dad who has come home from the hospital. I decided to make him a get well card to lift his spirits a bit. I've always wanted to do one like this, but just never had the opprotunity. It's smaller than I wanted (2 1/2 x 5 1/2 folded), but I didn't want it to look too fat or too long. I also had to make a special envelope for it. Oh, I also padded the middle just a little bit! The whole thing from start to finish took about an hour. Now that he is home, I should have time to get crafty soon with some Harvest/Thankgiving cards and then start on some Christmas. Thanks for peeking!

Dog Bisquits

Hello everyone! It is such a beautiful day today, and cooler too! I love it! My Dad has been in the hospital for a couple of weeks now, so I really haven't had time to create. I did want to show you this dog bisquit can that I made before Halloween. We have three dogs and my Mother and sister-in-law are always giving us the leftover bisquits and treats that their small (spoiled) dogs won't eat. My dogs will eat just about anything you give them, so they are always happy when we get a "care package". Any hoo, I needed some thing to keep them in and just happened to have an empty coffee can to work with, so I did a little re-cycling! It took less than an hour to create, and works perfectly for all those small treats that were taking up real estate in my washroom. Hope you enjoy looking, and thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Birthday

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a haunted Halloween!! My Hubby is a "Boo Baby" so we celebrated with a party. Cake and ice cream, Trick or Treating, the hole nine yards! I just wanted to show you his card that I made for him. He is real big into Harley Davidson and motorcycles in general, so when this stamp set became available I just had to get it! I stamped and fussy cut all the images on the front. The silver mat was done with a texture plate, and I used some black detail embossing powder for the bike. Thanks for looking!

The Final Two

Hey everyone! I'm back with the last two Halloween cards for the year. My Husbands birthday is Halloween so I need to make him a card and get ready to celebrate! These two cards were made using a Tim Holtz Alterations die. I figured they were both on the same die why not just make two cards. I used Coordinations Black Magic cardstock to cut them both, and just slightly sanded them to give them a distressed look. For the cat I cut the fence from one of my Cricut carts and added a brad and some bling. That tiny spider up top was fussy cut(I know!). I don't know what I was thinking, but looking at it now I must have been "in the zone"! For the raven, I used some left over pumpkins from a previous card and found the sentiment in my stash. I hope everyone has a very Haunted Halloween, and none of you get blown away, flooded out, or snowed in! Take care!

Dressed Up

Hey Ya'll! Just a quick post to share another Halloween card with you! This one was inspired by Pinterest! Beth Beard of Mylittlecraftblog.com did a similar card for Stampin Up and was pinned on Pinterest. I took it up a notch and came up with this. I used some tulle behind the skirt and glittered up her shoes and hat. Added a little bit of bling and stamped a cute little spider. Thanks for looking!

Pumpkin Patch

Hello everyone! As promised I have another Halloween card for you! The inspiration for this one came from a catalog that I was looking at the other day. I pretty much lifted it and turned it into a card instead of the wall plaque it was in the catalog. I used several cartridges for this, plus some punches and memory thread for the curly ques on the pumpkins. I inked and distressed the whole backgound as well as the sign stuck in the patch. I also did alot of chalking on the pumpkins. The inside simply says "Happy Halloween" since I was plum tuckered out by the time I finished the front! Hope your Halloween crafting and creating are still in full swing, and thanks for dropping by!
Supplies- Tall two tone pumpkins: Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art, Crow and Bat: M.S. punches( I altered the bird's tail and head), Other pumpkins and Cat: Paper Doll Dress Up, Sign: Camp Out

Spooky cute

Hey everyone! It's time to post another Halloween card! I recently purchased several stamp sets from Stampin' Up and this one I liked because there are alot of stamps with cute Halloween monsters and creatures and things that go "bump in the night". The spooky bingo card was computer generated and the cat and spiders are from a punch. I also used two more punches on the inside sentiment. Give me another couple of days and I'll have another card for you. I haven't been able to keep up with my friend Jen at http://creating-with-the-js.blogspot.com but I think I'm holding my own. Bushels

Hello everyone! I know I've told you how much I love this time of year, and one of the reasons is apples! Apples for pies and tarts, apples for jam and jellies, and some apples just for eating! My favorite at the moment are the Honey Crisps. Nice and firm with a sweet/tart flavor.... I could eat them all day if they were, not so very expensive!! The inspiration for this card came from one I saw online a couple of years ago. I don't remember who did it, but I think I saw it on the Cricut Board, so thank you whoever you were! The tree, basket, apples and leaves are all cricut cuts. The label is from a punch and the sentiment was hand lettered by me. I used a Cuttlebug folder on the sky and tore my papers for the field. The inside was left blank. I promise the Halloween cards are coming! I need to post them before it gets here, lol! Thanks for peeking, and I hope everyone has a wonderful and restful weekend!

Hey Ya'll! Just a quick post today to share a quick card. I used a pre-cut card base from my stash, a scrap of crimped paper from another project, and two of my new stamps from Stampin' Up! The bird took the longest as I stamped it several times to get all the different colors. The leaf cut out was drawn and cut by hand. I hope everyone is having a beautiful Sunday, and thanks for stopping by!

The only things new are the limb and the worm. Everything revolves around the flowers that were made one day when I was just playing to see what I could come up with. I cut the window from cardstock and paper at the same time, stamped the bird on the leftover piece of card and colored it with some Tim Holtz Distress Markers. The banner is from another Stampin' Up set and the sentiment is by Studio G.I added a pretty little Seam binding bow and topped it with a heart shaped stickpin and called it done.
