Arbor Day

Hello everyone and Happy Arbor Day! What better way to recognize this day than to celebrate what Mother Nature brings us all year long! I used Simply Charmed to cut the trees, and Give a Hoot for the sentiment. In order to get all the trees on here this card is larger than my normal 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. It measures 4 1/2 by 6. I embossed the background and chalked the swirls, then embossed the trees and inked the edges. Added some pops, some ribbon, and sprayed it with some shimmer. Thanks for looking and I hope everyone has a beautiful day!

Welcome Baby

Hi Ya'll! This card was made for my neighbors who just had their 4th( and final, according to Dad) child. I bought the Simply Charmed cart on Friday and she had the baby on Saturday! the main reason I bought it was for the cute baby in the carridge, so I couldn't wait to use it. Any way, it was a girl! I cut out this image, but used the boys face because I thought it was too cute, inked the edges, cuttlebugged the mat and added a bow and some bling. Hope you like, and thanks for peeking!

Mothers Day Folded Flower

Hello! This card I made for my Grandson to give to his Mother. I saw this folded flower in a Cards Magazine and had to try it. So simple and easy to do, and I think it turned out very pretty. I cuttlebugged the background with Gratitude, cut a label with my nesties, and added some bling and a ribbon. Thanks for looking and I hope everyone had a Blessed Easter!

Cardz Color Challenge

I made this card for Mary's color challenge on Cardz TV. We were supposed to use the colors purple, blue, white, and green for a Mother's Day card. I embossed the background to make it look like painted paneling, then made a "table" with the blue check for the cloth. Put a crock full of Hydrangeas on the table and hung a picture on the wall with the word Mother for my sentiment. Thanks for looking!

Earth Day

Good morning! Today is Earth Day, and this is my tribute. I wanted to make a very organic card so I used things and paper that I had laying around. The top mat is some handmade paper that I made from junk mail and has a slightly greenish tint to it, but I don't think you can really tell from the picture. I used a piece of cardboard for the dirt and one of the flowers. The other flower is made from a piece of used parchment paper and a piece of paper ribbon for the center. The bow is a piece of vintage twill tape with the rusty pin that was stuck in it for the stick pin.Added some Perfect Pearls to the flowers and hand printed the sentiment.I guess you could call this a "green" card! T

hanks for looking and have a Happy Earth Day!

Happy Easter

This is the last Easter card that I made using Sizzix dies for the rabbit and the button. I used the back side
of a piece of color core paper to cut the rabbit , sanded and inked his edges, then cut the inserts for his ears and tummy by hand since they did not cut from the die. Did some inking and popping and added the paper button and some bakers twine. I hope you enjoy him as much as I do. I just think he's too cute! Thanks for peeping, and I hope everyone has a blessed Easter.

Tim Holtz Vintage

Good morning everyone! I,m trying to post these Easter cards before it gets here! Not much longer before Peter Cottontail comes hopping! This card was inspired by  the Tim Holtz seasonal paper pack which I purchased a while ago online for $14.99( Michael's has it on clearance for $4.99!, made me sick!). The pack has some beautiful vintage images such as Easter, Christmas, Halloween, etc. The wreath is a sizzix die and the tiny picture of a rabbit pushing a cart with eggs and a chick came from the paper pack as did  the extremely small sentiment at the bottom( don't know if you can see it). My picture taking skills are not that great,LOL. Anyway, added some pops, some pearls, a Crinkle ribbon, and sprayed it with simmer. Thanks for looking!

Vintage Easter

Hi everyone! A couple of months ago, my mother gave me a stack of old postcards that belonged to my Grandmother, to look at, and read,  and make copies of them if I wanted. These were some of the most interesting and beautiful postcards that I had seen, and alot of them had Easter themes. I copied this postcard, which dated to the 1920's and came up with this card. The metal "egg" shape I purchased from M's, and the doily is the last one that my friend Joy gave me a few months ago. I added some rock candy Stickles to the chicks and the sentiment, then glittered over that with some MS fine clear glitter, and attached the picture to the back of the 'Egg". Hope you enjoy looking as much as I enjoyed making!

Egg Day

This card was inspired by a picture I saw in a magazine of three bunnies in a basket. My take is a bit more "busy" than what I saw, but once I get started sometimes I can't stop! Anyway, I used My Community for the basket(can you see it?), Doodlecharms for the bunnies, which I altered on my Gypsy, and Gypsy Wanderings for the grass and bunny at the bottom. I added some Crinkle Ribbon, which I purchased from  http://craftspotbykimberly.blogspot.com/ , as a bow topped with a stick pin, some Easter grass and gathered ribbon on the basket, a tag, and well you've got the picture!  Thanks for peeking!

Friends

Hi everyone! This card was inspired by A new stamp set that I recieved from http://www.papertreyink.com/ called Button Boutique. I made this for my friend Joy, who is never home and who stays at the lake all the time in the Spring and Summer. I cut the spool of thread from Country Life and wrapped it with thread. Added ribbon , hand wrote the sentiment and added a friends tag and called it done. Thanks for looking!
