Spring!

Hello everyone! Well it seems that spring has sprung, but here in my neck of the woods it feels almost like Summer with temps in the upper 80's! I was visiting my friend Joy the other day and came up with this card for Spring using some die cuts from Cosmo Cricket that I had in my stash. The background paper was given to me by Joy(thanks J.S.) and I borrowed a piece of her cardstock as well.Did a little poppin',inkin', and stampin', and scalloped the edges and called it done! I am entering this card in the Monday Challenge at My Craft Spot- Scallops. You can check it out at

Thanks for peeking and I hope everyone is having a glorious first day of Spring!

Last one!

Hello everyone! This is my last Birthday card of the season, Yea!! I will not have to make another until August if I don't want to,but you know I will just for fun! This card was made for my Brother-In-Law whose birthday is next week. I got the Idea from Emma at My Creative Time only I "manlyed" it up a bit. You can see her card at http://www.creativetimeforme.com I stamped the notebook paper and used a punch for the edge to make it look like it was torn from a notebook, then I added the list by hand. I made some rolled candles and used Memory Thread for the flame, added a bow, a brad, and spritzed it with some glimmer. A pretty simple card, but I like the way it turned out. The inside sentiment was stamped from two separate stamps Thanks for stopping by!
Recipe:

Doily

Good morning! This is my second card using my new doily die from Stampin' Up. I made this one at my friend Joy's house in her newly renovated craft space! It is so beautiful, with alot of space and different areas to work! I'm so jealous! We had a fun afternoon, and I hope to do it again soon! I had already cut out my doily and had a pretty good idea of what I wanted the card to look like, but I got some good suggestions and supplies from Joy(thanks JS) and I love the way it turned out! I doubled up on the doily to give it a little more umph, made the rolled rose for the center, embossed the upper half of the card, and stamped the sentiment on the bottom. Unfortunately time snuck up on us so I finished up at home adding some glitter glue to the rose and doily, and I scrunched up some seam binding for my bow.For some reason the rose looks peachy, but it's the same color as the bow. I'm reallyliking the "less is more" look lately. I hope you like it too!

Recipe:
Doily- Stampin' Up, Lg doily die
Rose- Sizzix die, Flowers 3-D
Vintage seam binding- From Joy's stash
Leaves- EK Sucess punch

Home stretch

Hello! For those of you who are keeping up, this is the next to the last birthday card in the 'birthday season". Yea!!! Only one more to go and two and a half weeks to do the last one in! This card was made for my Mother-in law. I received my order from Stampin' Up and this die was in the package! Isn't the doily pretty?! I love it! Any hoo, I wanted something light and bright and lacy looking so I added a glittered mat behind the doily, found a pre-made bow (that I think came off of something at Christmas), and added a sweet little stickpin to it. I'm off to make another doily! Thanks for looking!
