Hello everyone! I know it's been awhile since I posted, but let me assure you I have not been idle! This is the final week of "birthday season" at my house, and I am exhausted! This card is for my Dad. He is always up for a good joke so I thought I would try to be funny with the card this year. I found this
quote at the Quote Garden and couldn't resist. I did the main sentiment with my Design Runner, and stamped the pocket and the Happy Birthday circle on the inside. The clock face on the front is a Tim Holtz stamp. The pocket was originally for a gift card, but I got him something else, so I just filled it with a stamped mini label. Thanks for peeking!

Another Birthday
Hey Ya'll! Yes this is another birthday card, and yes I need to make some valentines! I get a little break on the birthday cards now, so I might actually get to make a valentine or two! This card is for my Auntie B who is my mother's closet friend and partner in crime. They are close to the same age. My mother's sister is my Aunt's mother, and they(Mom and Aunt B) ended up married to brothers. I know, it makes for an interesting family tree! I used my new spellbinders die for the large flowers and cut them out from some Lost and Found, My Minds Eye 6x6 papers. Stamped the sentiment, added a sheer ribbon and bow, and a piece of Tim Holtz tissue tape to the bottom. Thanks for looking and bearing with me as I continue with the birthday season!

Birthday #5
Hello everyone! Here is Birthday card #5, which happens to be for my Grandson. I have been racking my brain for weeks about what kind of card to do for my Grandson. He is turning 15 and I really couldn't think of anything age appropriate until I saw a picture of an Easel card on a website out of the UK. It was perfect! He spends about 50% of his time playing his DS and the other 50 on the computer! This card is larger than what I usually make at 51/2 X 51/2. I didn't have any carts with a computer on it, so I printed some clip art and used the bottom for the keyboard. The screen is done in some shiny Vellum. I shined up the keyboard a little with a silver gel pen, and popped the words Happy Birthday to give it a little demension.I added the mouse as an afterthought and attached it with memory thread. the candle was hand stamped, glittered up and cut out. Hope you like, and thanks for peeking!

My Son's Birthday
Hey everyone! I hope your having a wonderful weekend with this crazy weather! It is in the 70's here in Alabama, and raining on again off again. I'm just about tired of it!! This is the card I made for my Son whose birthday is on the 10th. I opted for an easel card instead of trying to do a shaped one of the cake. I embossed the cake and added candles everywhere with the big 30 on the top! My "baby" is no longer a baby! Any whoo, I used stickles for the flames on the candles, glittered up the background, did a little inkin', used bakers twine for the streamers at the top, and sprayed the whole thing with glimmer. This is birthday card #4 for anyone who's counting. I forgot to take pics of the first two, LOL! Thanks for looking!
