Halloween Baby

Hey Ya'll!
This is my annual post for my Hubby's birthday card. This  year"s card is all about his Halloween Birthday. Last year I made him a plain ol' birthday card so I thought I would play this year. I made the spider from felt and pipe cleaners and gave him some droopy/sleepy eyes. Since hubby is "60 something" I added an action wobble so he will shimmy shake when he takes it out of the envelope. I hope you enjoy and wish every one a safe and happy Halloween!

Supplies- Stampin' Up: Sentiment stamp "Age Awareness", Liquid Pearls for the teeth, Memory Box: "Spider Web" die, Recollections: for the eyes , Inspiration for the spider found on Pinterest, Small spider from my stash.

Halloween Greetings

Hello everyone!

We have been having some beautiful weather here in my corner of the world, and I thought I would share some Halloween cards before it's too late! I have been so busy making minis that Halloween has sneaked up on me! These were made a few weeks ago at a class I attend each month. The two with the belly band around them are gift card holders. The one with the spider is actually one I had to re-do  because of a boo boo I made and then when I re did it I  did the same thing again(!) and still had an embellishment opportunity, thus the spider!

I hope everyone is enjoying this gorgeous weather and getting out and about while it's cool. I know some are experiencing Spring on the other side of the world, and for the most part they are having the same weather we are! Thanks for peeking in on me and have a wonderful week!

Supplies- CTMH: Paper packet "Scardy Cat" Stamp set "Halloween Greetings" and " A Quick Hello", Cricut carts Art Philosophy and Artfully Sent(?). Sizzix: Sizlitt "Creepy" for the spider.

A Little Halloween

Hello everyone!
I'm really getting back into making mini's lately and came up with this one at a crop/team meeting a couple of weeks ago. You know how I like them...the smaller the better? This is called a One Sheet Wonder, meaning it was made with one sheet of 12x12 paper. Well, actually 3 sheets of 12x12 because I kept gluing it wrong and ended up making 3 books before all was said and done, hehe! I  got the idea from http://getcreativewithtraci.co.uk/ on Pinterest. I did finally make the book, and finished it up at home. This one is for Halloween. I used CTMH papers and some punches and dies from my stash. Thanks for looking!

Supplies- CTMH: " Moonlight" WOTG( retired), 11/4 inch circle punch and Bronze and Black Shimmer Trim,  S.U.: "Tag Topper" Punch, One 12x12 sheet of Kraft Cardstock from my stash, Martha Stewart: "spider Web" border punch, "graveyard Mice" Border punch and the "Bat" Punch, Sizzix die: Large Bat, Glitter glue and paper from my stash.

Love Grows Mini

Hey Ya'll!

I have a quick share today of a mini that I completed (finally) recently. The chipboard album was part of a kit that I purchased at Michael's, and was supposed to have a gardening theme. I decided not to use that as my theme, but used  all the papers and some of the chipboard embellishments. I added all the tags, flowers, ribbons, etc. I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather we are having as much as I am. I am so ready for fall!! Thanks for looking, and I'll see you soon!

Supplies- Recollections: "Vintage Romance Garden Kit" mini,CTMH: Journaling Spots
"Lucky"(retired), So Sophie: journal cards, MME: "Life Stories" journal cards, Paper Studio: Burlap ribbons and flowers, The picture frame was an old piece of packaging that held bakers twine.

Time Flies

Hey Ya'll!

I know, I know... Bad , Bad Blogger!!
Sometimes life gets in the way, or you just need a break, or your Mojo heads south for the season. All of the above seem to be the case with me lately! I promise I will try to do better, and not stay away so long.
I have manage to do a few projects while cleaning and purging my craft space, and wanted to show you this simple card which was left over from a card class awhile ago. Shirley Ross was the original designer and the second card is the one I made using part of the card "kit" and some feathers I stamped and colored with the new ShinHan Touch Twin markers sold by Close To My Heart.

           Here is Shirley's design:
This was done with an ink pad and a blending pen to give sort of a watercolor effect.

This is the second card I did with the ShinHan markers where I closed the window  and mounted the fussy cut image to the outside of the card.

Thanks for looking in on me and I will see you soon,..I promise!!

Supplies:  "M" Stamp " Hi" everyday life, Card design by Shirley Ross at /http://www.momnmescrap.blogspot.com , Using the Cricut cartridge "Art Philosophy( ? ), Stamp set "Happy Birds" for the feathers.

Happy Birthday!

Hello everyone!
I am so happy to be to making cards again! My daughter had some complications with her c-section and had to go back to the hospital for a few days, but now she is home and doing well. This card is for my Uncle who is turning  82 next week. I decided to play with a new card kit I ordered last month from Close to My Heart. The kit comes with the envelope, card base and three banner pieces. I love the look of kraft card stock, which is most likely why this kit appealed to me. Just a quick simple card, but as busy as I've been lately.......well you get the picture! Thanks for looking and "hanging in there" with me!

Supplies- CTMH: "Thank You Card Kit", Black "Shimmer Trim", Grey Bakers Twine, Silver "Glitter Gems", and the stamp sets "You Mean the World to ME" and "Just a Number" (retired). The "Ant" stamp is by Rubber Stampede, and the "Hills" came from my stash.
