Belated Mother's Day

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a Happy Mother's Day, and now that it's over I can post these last two cards. This first one was made for my Mother. I got the idea from the March issue of Cardmaker magazine. I bought this issue because it had so many flower embellishments in it. I used pinking shears on the edges of my mat and did some sewing. The "flowers" were made using Spirelli(string art), and I added buttons to the centers. Added a vintage seam binding bow and stamped a tiny tag. The inside sentiment was computer generated.

Supplies: Cardstock- Stampin' Up, Paper- October Afternoon,Modern Homemaker 8x8 pad, Disk for flowers- Mother's Day Bouquet, Sunburst flower. This second card was made for my Daughter who is forever washing clothes! With a Husband and two boys there are alot of dirty clothes! So, with that in mind , here's a basket full of dirty laundry and clean ones on the line. The sentiments inside and out were computer generated, and the washing machine was an altered stove cut done on my Gypsy. Thanks for looking!

Happy Fourth of July

Hi Ya'll! Just wanted to wish everyone Happy 4th of July, and to share this card with you. The inspiration for this card came from an old t-shirt that I have that I wear every year to our blowout on the Alabama River.Alot of us get together with our boats and park at a sandbar and celebrate the 4th. Everyone brings a different dish, and we pig out, and swim, and just have a good time. Sometimes we all ride downriver to watch the annual fireworks show from the water. Anyway, I decided to make this card before the ole' t-shirt gives it up. I used Country Life for the posts, Sweethearts for the towel, Life's A Beach for the bikini and trunks, and an MS punch for the grass. The embossing was done with a Sizzix texture plate, and I added some bakers twine for the clothesline. The inside says "Proud to be an American". Cardz Color Challenge

I made this card for Mary's color challenge on Cardz TV. We were supposed to use the colors purple, blue, white, and green for a Mother's Day card. I embossed the background to make it look like painted paneling, then made a "table" with the blue check for the cloth. Put a crock full of Hydrangeas on the table and hung a picture on the wall with the word Mother for my sentiment. Thanks for looking!

Hi everyone! This card was inspired by A new stamp set that I recieved from http://www.papertreyink.com/ called Button Boutique. I made this for my friend Joy, who is never home and who stays at the lake all the time in the Spring and Summer. I cut the spool of thread from Country Life and wrapped it with thread. Added ribbon , hand wrote the sentiment and added a friends tag and called it done. Thanks for looking!
