You say Bokeh...

Hey Ya'll!

  However you say it, either like a bouquet of flowers or like the town of Boca Ratan, this is my attempt at this technique. I did these awhile ago, and I'm still not sure I got them dark enough. The pink and yellow was the first one using the CTMH colors Sunset , Canary, and Pixie, I believe.

,

I decided that the circles were not dark enough , and did them a little darker with the second card. On  this card I used the CTMH colors Thistle, Glacier and Juniper.

I used Sizzix dies for both the sentiments. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a Happy 4th of July! 

Dad's Day

Hello again!

  So tomorrow is Father's Day and I wanted to show you the two cards I made for my Hubby and my Son-in-Law. I really didn't spend alot of time on them, but the creative juices did flow a bit.

  This first one is for my Hubby, and I did an homemade action wobble for the mustache.

This next one is for my Son-in-Law, and I got the idea from two different cards I saw on Pinterest .

Birthday Funnies

Good Morning!

   I'm back with two more birthday cards, both of which I totally cased! I couldn't help myself since they each reminded me of my Son and my Dad. I thought they would get a laugh out of them! 

    This first one was for my son who tells me he is falling apart physically.

 I used the Cricut cartridge  "Simply Charmed" and a Sizzix decorative strip die for the letters. I got the inspiration from Pinterest and could not track down who the original card maker was, but whoever you are thank you so much, my Son loved it!

 This card was for my Dad for his 80th birthday and he got a good chuckle out of it! This one was also inspired by Pinterest at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1269952

Both of the cards say " Gettin' Old Ain't for Sissies" on the inside.

Stardust

Hello everyone!
   I thought I would pop in and show you a card I made for a Baby Shower earlier this month. I fell in Love with this sentiment when I first saw it and couldn't wait to use it! I got the idea for the card and the cute little boy from Pinterest "Punch Art by Stampin Up." Their baby was hanging from a tree branch, but I thought hanging him from the moon fit better with the paper I used. You can't really tell from the picture, but the front sentiment is glittered up as well as the tiny silver dots around the star cutouts.
  I've started on my Christmas cards, and I'll have some to show you soon. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and didn't gain too many extra pounds! I swear , I gained weight just looking at all the food and goodies, he he ! Thanks for looking in on me. See you soon!

Miss You

Good Morning everyone!
    Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, but I had some computer problems and now bad weather(Batten down the hatches!). I hope you all had a wonderful and restful Easter, and didn't eat too many goodies and spoil your appetite! Hubby got hooked on the Robins Eggs and bought some more afterwards. I'll have to admit I kinda like them too much myself!
   Here's another card I made at the same time as the previous Anniversary card. It was very simple and I used some of the new items from CTMH. I embossed the card, stamped the feathers and fussy cut them out, added some sequins and a small tag sentiment and ,"Whala", it's done ! Thanks for looking, and have a beautiful, creative day!

Happy Spring!

Hey Ya'll!
   Just thought I would pop in to wish everyone a Happy Spring and to show you the wreath I made for my Daughter to go on her door.I recently made a wreath from a kit I purchased from Stampin' Up, and my daughter liked it so much she wanted me to make her one.She purchased a wreath form from Michaels and I used papers and ribbon from my stash(which I'm still purging, I keep finding stuff I forgot I had!) and this is what I came up with!

 

     I used fringe scissors for the "fluffy" flowers cut out some circles to form the large flowers and cut out a few leaves and some large spikey bases for another flower. Then I punched out some spikey small flowers for the centers. All in all it turned out better than I thought it would. Here's a picture of the S.U. wreath I used for inspiration. I used feathers instead of leaves.

Hello everyone!
  I am so happy that my blog has finally been restored, and she even changed the title around a little! I really didn't like the plain Jane look and even though this is the same background, it's been so long, that everything looks bright and new to me.
  For my card today I really just used the paper as my inspiration and went from there. I stamped a couple of doilies( can you tell I:m into doilies lately), did some cutting and punching, added some embellishments, and there you have it! Another quick and easy valentine! I'm so glad you stopped by to take a look. Please keep warm and dry and safe in this crazy weather!

Glittered Snow

Hi everyone! I'm back to show you a quick card I made with some Sizzix framelits and stamps. The snow is torn and then glittered on the edge. I also added a bit of glitter to the snowman and snowflakes. No snow here, just wishful thinking. It is almost 80 degrees here today, but is suppose to turn colder this weekend. Hey Ya'll! I hope you are enjoying the Fall weather where ever you are. The temps have been lower here and I feel a touch of Fall in the air! Love it! My Favorite season! Today I have a card for you  for encouragement. I made this card with a cast on my hand, and thought the sentiment was perfect! This also has turned out to be my "end of Summer" card. I used several items that I had purchased and never used, like the stamp and dies. Sorry if this picture looks a little fuzzy, lol. Bumble Bee

Hey everyone! I thought I would drop in and show you this card I made on a whim with a new embossing folder that I had not used. I used Kraft Core paper for the mat and a piece of the cut away part for the label. Some blinged up paper flowers and a die cut bee with flocking and bead completed the card. Hello everyone! I'm back with another card. This one was inspired by my Christmas' long ago when I lived in a part of the country where it snowed! I have decided it is not happening here this winter since this is December and it is almost 80 degrees outside. Anyway, I got out one of my Sizzix dies and some leftovers from a previous card and came up with this. I hope you all are warm and cozy and ready for Christmas. We are getting there slowly... the tree is in the middle of the dining room floor, and hubby is trying to find that one special bulb on the lights that is preventing the whole strand from working! Tomorrow I will go out to the shed and find another strand of lights to use because you know he is never going to find it,LOL! Happy HO, HO! Thanks for peeking!

One last Pumpkin!

Hey Ya'll! This is the very last pumpkin card in the series, I promise! This is another new stamp that I had never used. I did some masking and made the small pumpkin on the tag a different color than the background then cut it out. I wanted just a little more dimension so I cut another pumpkin for the large one and glued it on top. I added some burlap for the rustic feel then decided it needed a bit of bling, so I added the tulle bow and topped it with the circle sentiment from my stash. I think it turned out pretty good considering that I really didn't have any idea what I was going to do with it when I started! Thanks for taking a peek!

Last Days of Summer

Hello everyone! I can't believe that Summer is sliping away so quickly here in the Deep South! It's unusually cool for this time of year here in my neck of the woods. Anyway, I have two cards to show you today! It appears that both of these were made while I was in my "pink" phase.The first was made using using scraps from my table. The only things new are the limb and the worm. Everything revolves around the flowers that were made one day when I was just playing to see what I could come up with. The second card was done cut with the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge, and the label from Stampin' Up. Enjoy, and thanks for peeking!

Hey Ya'll! I thought I would show you a couple if cards that were done for the Fiskars Show Us The Possibilities Fuse Challenge. I waited to long to post them to the contest( to win a Fiskars Fuse prize package), but thought you might like to see them anyway.The new Fuse die cuts, letter presses, and embosses all at once! Would love to have one, but it just wasn't meant to be. The first one is the "love" emblem, which just begged to become a Valentine. I added some embellishments from my stash, some glitter, and embossed the card.

Ooops!

Hello all! I suppose I should have posted this yesterday on "Just Because Day", but as usual I'm a day late and a dollar short! I made this using my new Stampin' up heart framelit and gorgeous bird stamp! I cut the window from cardstock and paper at the same time, stamped the bird on the leftover piece of card and colored it with some Tim Holtz Distress Markers. The banner is from another Stampin' Up set and the sentiment is by Studio G.I added a pretty little Seam binding bow and topped it with a heart shaped stickpin and called it done. Sorry for this horrible pic! Took it at night in my craft room and couln't get the lighting right! Thanks for peeking!

Father's Day

Hi everyone! Just a quick post to share the Father's Day card I made for my Grandson to give my Husband. He lives with us, so my husband is pretty much the only Dad he knows. I saw this quote online when I went looking for sentiments and just couldn't resist! I actually remember giving Soap-on-a-Rope to my own Dad a time or two,LOL! I used some clip art that I found online and embossed the mat to look like bathroom tile. I definitely saw the corners of my hubby's mouth curl up when he read the quote. Thankful

Hello everyone! I am so Thankful for each and every one of you, that I made a card to show my appreciation! I must admit that every element of this card, with the exception of the yellow flower and the butterfly, was either given to me or leftover from previous projects. The background paper is floral paper that I saved from some flowers I received last year. The white roses were given to me by a friend( thanks Joy ), and the leaves, label, border and card were all leftovers! No matter how each piece arrived, they all came together to create this Thank You for all of my wonderful followers and friends who have encouraged and sometimes guided me on in this journey. I can't thank you enough! The butterfly was made with a Stampin' Up punch. I cut two of the petals off in the center to form the wings, stamped it then painted the colors on, added some pearl beads for the body, and made antenae with a small piece of wire. Rosette Flowers

Hello to my faithful few! I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend! I was playing around with the flowers again and came up with this card. I think the rosette flowers are so pretty, and I seem to see them everywhere so decided to make some myself. I'm still trying to use up those scraps, and this was the perfect card for that, so some of the papers may look familiar to you! I used a couple of M.S. punches for the rosettes, some leftover kraft for the card, and a Sizzix Framelit for the label. The flowers came from my stash as did the banner. I embossed (debossed) the mat, stamped my sentiment and called it done!
