Patriotic

Hey everyone! I have a 4th of July card for you today. I went to visit a friend the other day and we were playing around with a stamp set and a die that I had never used and this is the result. I stamped the fireworks for the background and used glitter paint for the sparkle. I cut the flag in red then cut the small blue square and used my gell pen to draw on some stars. Then I backed the whole thing with a piece of  white and distressed it a little with some ink. Please ignore the dark spot at the bottom of the inside. It's just my stamp on the back shining through :). Thanks for looking!

Supplies- Flag: Tim Holtz Alterations die "Old Glory", Fire works, stars, and sentiment: Close To My Heart stamp set "American Celebration", Inside sentiment: Hampton Art, Glitter: Scribbles 3-D paint "Sparkle".

Quilled Garden

Hello everyone! It is such a beautiful day here, sun shining, not too hot, nice breeze blowing, it reminded me of this card that I never shared with you.  Recently  my friends Gale and Sarah have been quilling snowflakes( which I showed them how to do) and now they are hooked! I myself had forgotten how addictive Quilling is and how much I enjoyed doing it. So anyway, we decided to do some flowers to go on a card and this is the result of my morning of the playdate a couple of weeks ago. I also added some "clouds" using a technique I found on a Stampin' Up blog. I'm sorry I don't remember which one , but I have it posted on my Card Technique board on  http://pinterest.com/chasnpaper/boards/. This was a first try for this technique, and I think it turned pretty good. We also made a cute little grasshopper and the fence was cut from a die. Thanks for looking and Happy First Day Of Summer tomorrow!
Supplies- Fence: Tim Holtz Alterations die "On the Fence", Grass: Martha Stewart punch, Label: Stampin' Up "Modern Label" punch.

Classic

Hello everyone! I'm back to show you a Father's Day card that I made for my Dad. He's getting on up there in the age department(thank God!) so when I saw a version of this card at Paper Craft Connections I knew it would be perfect for him. All the papers, the embossed car(which I fussy cut), and the spinner are from CTMH. I also embossed the mat with a Cuttlebug folder. I hope all of you are ready and not as rushed as I feel for Father's Day. It seems to have snuck up on me between all the doctor, dentist and eye doctor appointments I have had the last couple of weeks. Some times I feel like I don't know whether I'm  "comin' or goin' " as they say here in the South. Anyway, have a happy day and thanks for looking!
Supplies- CTMH: Cruisin' Workshop on the Go and spinner, Cuttlebug: Diamond Plate folder, Stampendous: Embossing powder Detail Black

Brag book

Hey Ya'll! Just a quick share today to show you  a brag book my upline Shirley Ross showed me how to make using Flip Flaps which can be purchased from Close To My Heart. The white frame are leftover pieces from another project using the Artiste Cartridge (innies), and the small vellum flowers were made with a punch I recently purchased. This came together pretty quickly, but now I have to buy some more Flip Flaps to finish off the book! It's always somethin' isn't it? Just another excuse to purchase more "STUFF"!! Anyway I hope you enjoy, and thanks for peeking!

Water color paper

Hello everyone! I'm back to share this card with you where I used a piece of beautiful water colored paper found in my stash! I really let the paper work for me, and didn't do much to the front but add some stamping and embellishments. On the inside I did a pop-up flower which I got the directions for from marthastewart.com/crafts. This was the second flower that I did. It took two try's to really get it right! Any way, after I got the flower put together it was really a quick card to finish up. This card was very hard to photograph since I didn't have anyone to help hold the card, so forgive me if the pictures are not the best quality! Hope you enjoy, and have a crafty weekend!

Hello

Hello all! I'm so sorry I haven't posted lately, but here is a card that could be a"Thinking of You" or"Just Because" card. I left the inside blank for just that reason. I used some scraps from my table and some new that I purchased recently. For those of you who know me, you know I am not a lover of the color green. I tend to gravitate more to the teal or turquoise side of it. This card base happened to be in my stash on top of the table, and I couldn't tell you how long it has been there! Anyway, that started the whole concept of the card! The corrugated cardboard strip is another piece that has been laying on my table for quite some time, and the flower and paper are new. I hope you enjoy looking and thanks for all your comments!

Supplies- Paper: MME "Miss Caroline, Dolled Up", Flower: S.U. "Pop-up Posies kit", Leaves and Butterfly: CTMH " Color Ready wooden shapes, Garden" Butterfly stamp: Rubber Stampede.

Mother's Day

Hey ya'll!  I'm back today with a card I made for my Mother-in-law for Mother's Day. My hubby says it's going to make her cry, but the poem reminded me so much of the both of them that I had to use it. I made the flowers from a die and I stamped the paper behind the poem which I printed on vellum. I like the soft effect that vellum gives. The label was stamped and fussy cut. So sorry the pics are blurry. I am not the worlds best at picture takin'! Maybe I had the coffee jitters(LOL). I will have another card for you soon. I hope you all are keeping warm and dry with this crazy weather! I appreciate all your comments and thanks for looking!

Supplies- Flowers: Tim Holtz "Tattered Flower Garden" on Kraft Core paper, Glitter ribbon: Recollections, Outside sentiment: CTMH "Perfect Fit-Mom", Inside sentiment: Computer generated, Bling: Colobok, Inside stamping S.U. "Delicate Dollies".
